Explore many and various career profiles!
As you probably know, the POP Index is an online database of tools that support students’ career explorations. It contains four types of tools: Experiential Tools, Virtual Visits and Key People, General Career Exploration Tools, and Other Tools (usually events or activities). In addition to searching the website by type of tool, you can also search by any of the 22 POP Index fields of interest or by any of the 21 vocational training sectors.
Updates and reviews
But did you know that this website is constantly being updated? Since school started last fall, over 30 new tools have been added to the 250+ tools that were already on the website. In addition, all the links on the site are reviewed at least twice a year to make sure the tools are still available and pertinent.
Subscribe to notifications
To be notified when a new tool is added to the website (which usually happens about twice a week), you can subscribe to an email mailing list or RSS feed on the POP Index homepage. Anyone can subscribe (students, teachers, guidance counsellors, etc.), and you may unsubscribe at any time.
Propose new tools
You can also propose that a new tool be added to the site by clicking on the “Propose a New Tool” button. And if you find any mistakes or broken links on the website, please notify us by sending an email to POP.qc.info@gmail.com.
Throughout the rest of the school year, the POP team will add other tools to the POP Index website as well as update activity guides, student workbooks and the lists of materials for each tool kit.
